- Our 20-hour Language Analysis Course for teachers is delivered via live training on Zoom with one of our Cambridge qualified teacher trainers. It takes place over 2 days, with weekend slots available.

Students want to know what language means, how it is used and how to pronounce it. This course will equip you with just the right knowledge and skills to analyse and present language to students so that they can understand and apply it immediately.

This 2-day training course will provide you with the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to analyse grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation in preparation for TEFL classes.
The practical and internationally accredited course was designed by our team of Cambridge DELTA qualified teacher trainers with many years of TEFL teaching and teacher training experience.
Unit 1: Analysing language for teaching purposes
Unit 2: How to analyse Grammar
Focus on 1. Tenses (Past, Present, Future) 2. Conditionals 3. Modals 4. Relative clauses 5. Articles
Unit 3: How to analyse Vocabulary
Focus on: 1. Parts of Speech 2. Collocations 3. Phrasal Verbs 4. Functional language
Unit 4: How to analyse Pronunciation
Focus on 1. Phonemes 2. Word Stress 3. Sentence Stress 4. Connected Speech
Unit 5: Anticipating problems students would have with language
Unit 6: Using Concept Check Questions (CCQs) to check students’ understanding
Unit 7: How to complete language analysis in TEFL lesson plans
At the end of the course, you will be required to complete 3 assignments.
